Biography

Born in Macau. Started the learning of art at Mr. Lai Ieng since early childhood, and achieved many awards including Gold Awards of The Youth Drawing Competition both in Hong Kong and Macao regions. Also had received much artistic influences from artists, Mr. Kam Cheong Ling and Mr. Lio Man Cheong. In 1994, she graduated in California College of Arts, CCA in San Francisco, United States with Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design.

After graduating, she joined Davison Design, a packaging-design-based company in US as designer. In 1995, she emigrated to Toronto, Canada working as senior designer in ARTiculation Group and later as art director in Wilco Design. In 2003, she established Helena Ng Design acting as Creative Director and Beware Wet Paint Creative Art School acting as Principal till now, with the goal to keep inspiring the creative and artistic growth of youth. As a Registered Graphic Designer of Ontario, her experiences range from corporate branding & identity programs to print collateral, packaging, illustration and web media design. Throughout the years, Helena has joined many local and international exhibitions/contests and has been the recipient of numerous awards such as the gold awards of logo design contests for Monetary Authority of Macau, Macau Cultural Centre, Marine World, Biennial Design Contests, Bronze Award for America Needham Paper Stationery Design and Judges’ Highest Score Finalists in Toronto City Flag Design….etc.
