Biography

Ieng Lai was born in Macao in 1949. Currently he is the President of the Macao Artist Asso. and the Director of New Arts Asso. of Macao. He started learning watercolor painting in the 70’s and was greatly influenced by the late painter Chi-Sang Tam.

He was a follower of watercolorist Zhao-Min Wang in the 80’s and held a number of exhibitions in Macao, China, Canada and Portugal in the 90’s. He was awarded the Medal of Cultural Merit from the Macao government in 2009.
