Biography

Joey Ho is a rare type of local young artist, active in exploring different art forms. “On the Road – Tianzhu”, although inspired by childhood reminiscences, is purported to be a sort of sequel of her favourite Chinese classic “Journey to the West”. Using a unique literary and artistic approach which blurs tradition and modernity, she re-interprets the well-known tale through different art forms.

Macau Artists, the Philippe Charriol Foundation’s Art Competition, the Macau Art Biennale and Asian International Art Exhibition. She has also been invited by several organizations to present installation art exhibitions. Her solo exhibitions from 2005 to 2008 include “Liberty of Interpretation” at the Millenium Gallery in Macau and the “Room with The View” Gallery in Shanghai, “On the Road – Tianzhu” at Creative Macau and the Shang Gallery in Shanghai.

Her creativity also diversified to field of costume design, she was invited to be the Stylist for Dance Theatre “Street Jing An Si No. 192, 6th Floor” shown in the Macau Cultural Centre and Beijing.
